Who we are
Adored Events runs festival days out across the North of England. It is the trading name of Adored Events Limited, company number 13494942, registered in England and Wales, which is responsible for the data described here. This policy covers the website at adoredevents.co.uk. For anything about your data, send us a message through the form on our Contact page, or write to us at Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Longbridge Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, England, M17 1SN.
What we collect
If you join our mailing list we collect your name, your email address and, if you choose one, your nearest event, and only because you asked us to — the signup form has a consent checkbox and we use the list for event news and pre-sale access, nothing else. The event you choose decides which event’s news we send you. The list is held for us by Klaviyo, our email provider, which stores it on our behalf. We don’t sell or share the list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we’ll remove you promptly. If you send us a message through the contact form we collect your name, your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply to you; the message reaches us by email, delivered by Resend. Klaviyo and Resend are based in the United States, so these details are held there, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires. The site has no accounts and no login, and we don’t collect anything else about you directly.
Tickets
Tickets are sold by Skiddle, our ticketing partner. When you buy a ticket you buy it from Skiddle, on their site, under their privacy policy — we never see your payment details. Skiddle shares attendee information with us only as needed to run the event.
Analytics and cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: aggregate counts of visits and pages, with no cookies set, no personal identifiers, and no tracking across other sites. That’s why there’s no cookie banner — there’s nothing to consent to.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR: the mailing list runs on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; we answer contact-form messages on our legitimate interest in replying to the people who write to us; anonymous, aggregate analytics run on our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent, or object to how it’s used. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Retention
Mailing-list details are kept while you’re subscribed and deleted when you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept only for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry. Aggregate analytics contain nothing about you as an individual to retain or delete.
